Hotel Bacco in Furore

Hotel Bacco. It all started in the 1930s…when our grandfather offered rest and refreshment to people making the difficult climb, bags slung over their shoulders, towards Agerola…A glass of home made wine and perhaps a rustic dish. Guests could relax a rustic room, in summer time tables were set in the cool shade beneath the grape vines, while in winter they were set in front of a blazing warm fire pit. Once the road to Agerola was built, Bacco started to move with the changing times. Some difficulties along the way, but little by little, some changes to the rooms, additional recipes added to the menu, the gardens improved… And little by little...
The Hotel
"On one of the hills of the Amalfi Coast, where the land precipitates and slopes into an upturned sky starred in the serene nights by lamp lights", the hotel clings. This is the place magnificently described by Maria Orsini in "Francesca e Nunziata". After all she is at home here. The hotel is part of this incredible landscape, immerse in a soundless light, suspended, unreal and secret as a fairytale, with terraces and balconies chasing each other, alternating and hiding behind umbrellas and pergolas. Behind each balcony a bedroom, and for each bedroom a name evoking a memory, a melody, and a dream: Lazzarella, Reginella, Maliziusella.
The Hostaria
Here at Bacco Furore we believe in a serene and joyful idea of life embracing the virtues of old traditions. We refuse any conformism and we strive to rediscover ancient smells and flavors typical of this land. We believe that wine and food are an essential part of a country's culture as well as life pleasures. Even in modern life, nature still offers us beautiful and great gifts, we just need to learn to receive them. All of these ideas are reflected in our dishes and we know we will be able to give you an unforgettable experience that will call you back time and time again.
Furore
Located above the coastal village of Furore on Italy's famous Amalfi Coast, our guests arrive by following the hairpin turns of one of the most beautiful roads in the world. To get here, you need to take the Naples- Pompeii Salerno road and exit at Castellamare di Stabia. From there take the road towards the Lattari Mountains until Agerola, where you can "breathe" the infinite spaces and plunge into the blue color of the riviera.
The frantic life of the 21st Century produces a strong desire for the pleasures of nature and the genuineness and authenticity of age-old traditions. No wonder then, that the splendid small towns and villages of the Amalfi Coast are so profoundly attractive to travelers from all over the world. In the light of their recent success and popularity, these little towns are constantly upgrading their services to fully and better satisfy the educated and intelligent tourists that choose this part of the Italian Peninsula for their vacation. These towns represent the "other face", secret, unusual and stimulating, of a land that has been fascinating the world for a long time, with its houses clinging to the side of the mountains, a land offering so much to those who are able to appreciate authenticity and who refuse fakeness. It is a paradise still where one can enjoy coastal walks, magnificent views, typical artisan products, a mild climate, a reserved atmosphere and of course fabulous gastronomy.
